I began my career as a zoologist, having always been fascinated by living creatures and how they work. In my early twenties a back injury led me to discover the McTimoney Technique (a gentle and holistic form of bodywork) and I was inspired to change direction. After graduating from the McTimoney College in 1997 I built up a busy practice in Bath as well as returning to the college to teach as a techniques instructor and clinic supervisor.

During this time I developed an interest in energy medicine and began exploring various techniques and philosophies. My quest led me to Israel where I spent fifteen months studying both Bioenergy techniques and martial arts with a healer named Trond Bjornstad. I discovered that the Bioenergy and McTimoney Techniques complemented each other perfectly. Ensuring that a client's musculo-skeletal system was correctly aligned enhanced the effectiveness of the energy treatment and became an integral part of my work in Israel. I also discovered that releasing patterns of unresolved trauma from a client's energy field would often prove to be the key that enabled previously unresponsive structural problems to realign. Structural integrity and energetic integrity go hand in hand.

On returning to the UK I continued to treat clients using the McTimoney Technique and found that my Bioenergy training added an extra dimension of intuition to my treatment. I also developed a unique treatment combining both McTimoney and Bioenergy Healing, which benefits clients who are looking to find balance energetically as well as physically, or who may not be responding to purely physical treatments and wish to look at the energetic patterns that may be impeding their recovery.

I currently practice from a clinic room at my home near Bitton, between Bath and Bristol in the beautiful Golden Valley. I am a member of the Association for McTimoney Practitioners and am fully insured for both McTimoney and Bioenergy Healing. I also teach Anatomy and Physiology at Earthworks School of Healing, delivering a two-year course that I have written and developed myself, drawing on my passion for exploring the unity between science and spirituality.
